Gullane 2003s got back into action after the Easter break with a trip to Haddington. It was a proud day for the club as all three games being played involved a Gullane team , with the 2005 and 2006 teams also playing Haddington. Gullane got off to a strong start in an evenly matched first period, with strong defending from Jasmine and Archie building the foundations for Dylan, Myles and Stuart to capitalise on. Gullane then took the lead: a good passing move finished off by our fox in the box Shay, with a shot with the outside of his foot. Gullane went two nil up with Myles galloping down the right wing and unleashing an unstoppable shot into the top right corner. Stanley came on and put in an impressive shift in left midfield with some strong runs and determined tackling. Haddington then got back into the game with a crisp effort and started to apply the pressure, although Jasmine was resolute at the back with Archie also bombing forward. Calumn came to Gullane’s rescue with a stunning one-handed save that maintained Gullane’s slender advantage. That proved the turning point with Dylan’s left wing run and pull back lashed in by Stuart. Stuart, Dylan and Myles added further goals to help Gullane to a 6-1 win.
Well done to all on their good football and excellent attitude.
