Despite the late arrival of the team coach, the 2004s put in another excellent performance away at Pencaitland. Despite an earlier start which has in the past caught the team half asleep this week saw them bright and breezy in the 1st 15 mins with some excellent play all around. Goals were shared around the team and with Ali having a couple of good saves the team were 4-1 ahead. As ever the scoreline is not the important factor with the continued improved passing being the most pleasing aspect.
Saturday saw another debut with Angus joining the team. Despite not playing for a few weeks he fitted right in and will hopefully go and enjoy his football with Gullane. The match also saw Arran and Harvey getting their 1st goals for the team. Jack J continued to impress in defence and, with Ella working hard up front to disposess the Pencaitland defender to set up Jamie to score, Gullane maintained their 3 goal advantage throughout the rest of the game. Robbie and Archie both scored good goals with Shona taking the skills developed on the training ground into a match situation.
