Gullane Athletic AFC are delighted be hosting their Football Festival on 28th of May at Memorial Park in support of Edinburgh Clic Sargent supporting families and children with cancer and also a little girl Flora Gentleman from Aberlady. All monies raised from the event shall be donated by Gullane Athletic Football club to the two charities. Please use the links below for more information on both.
CLIC Sargent provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help children with cancer and their families cope with cancer and get the most out of life. They aim to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.
Flora has sadly been diagnosed with stage four Neuroblastoma. Unfortunately Neuroblastoma is a very aggressive childhood cancer with a long-term survival rate of 40-50 per cent, affects about 100 children in the UK each year and has the second highest morality rate in children, second to leukaemia.
Her family are raising funds for further treatment, and need your support. Play football and help Flora get the treatment she needs.
Anyone with ideas or able to donate raffle/auction prizes, all shall be gratefully received. Contact via email – gullaneathleticafc@gmail.com or via twitter @gullaneathletic
This day is all about brining the community together for a fun day of football whilst also raising money for our two very special charities.
